Creating new contemporary metalwork
Kate Maddison is collaborating with blacksmiths to develop new art and architectural metalwork. With reference to classic design and careful attention to detail, each item is hand-made and tailored individually to its situation. Using traditional forging skills and techniques mixed with modern engineering and fabrication, the collaborative team will develop new products in stainless steel, steel and non-ferrous metals to meet a clients needs for a variety of public and private architectural uses and landscape locations.
Kate Maddison has worked with Stéphane Chevalier and Jean Michel Gres of Atelier Proferro to create new contemporary architectural metalwork and furniture for the house and garden and collaborated with Chris Brammall on public art and architectural projects.
